Michael Kolade Yussuf, a staff member of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), has been chosen to participate in the esteemed 2024 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in the United States.

According to a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, Yussuf is among the 56 young Nigerians selected from a pool of 9,500 applicants to join the prestigious program.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship, a flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), aims to empower young African leaders to drive positive change in their communities. During the fellowship, Yussuf will engage in academic and leadership training at a U.S. university, followed by a professional development experience in his field. He will also have the opportunity to network with other young leaders from across the continent.
