The Kwara State Government has constituted a 15-man committee to oversee the distribution of farm inputs to genuine farmers in the state. The committee, chaired by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas, includes representatives from various ministries, departments, and agricultural associations.
The committee's members are:

5. Dr. Abdurrahman Akindele Ayuba - Representative of Civil Society Organization
6. Mrs. Funke Sokoya - Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture
7. Mr. Idris Jimoh - Director, Planning, Research and Statistics
8. Dr. Khadijat Alege - Managing Director, Kwara ADP
9. Alhaji Sidiq Abdullahi - Kwara State Chairman of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN)

The committee's responsibilities include ensuring the smooth distribution of inputs, coordinating logistics, and addressing any issues that may arise during the exercise. According to the Commissioner, the committee will begin distributing inputs to farmers before the end of the week, following the registration and verification exercise conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to identify genuine farmers.
This move aims to support the state's agricultural development and ensure that farmers receive the necessary inputs to enhance their productivity.
