KW-IRS Announces Closure of Registration for 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition

The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) has announced the closure of online registration for the 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition, with 154 secondary schools in the state registering to compete for the grand prize of N2.5 million.

The annual competition, organized by KW-IRS in collaboration with the Kwara State Ministry of Education & Human Capital Development, aims to educate school children about taxation and its importance in national economic development.

This year's competition will introduce a virtual dimension, with preliminary rounds held as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from June 24-28, 2024, in participating schools across the three senatorial districts of Kwara State. The top 12 schools will proceed to the semi-finals, which will also be written online from October 7-11, 2024. The six best schools will then compete for the grand prize at the grand finale on November 7, 2024, in Ilorin.

KW-IRS is committed to making the Tax Club Quiz Competition better each year, and participating schools have attested to its positive impact on their students and institutions. The agency wishes all participants the best of luck as preparations begin for the 2024 competition.
