From Monday, April 22 to Friday, May 17, 2024, all interested schools can apply through the designated portals. Keep an eye on KW-IRS' social media handles for updates on the competition criteria and requirements.
The preliminary rounds will take place virtually across all registered schools in the state from Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28, 2024. This is your chance to showcase your knowledge and skills!
The winning schools will receive cash prizes: N2.5 million for the overall best school, N1.5 million for the first runner-up, and N1 million for the second runner-up. Coordinating teachers and participating students will also receive cash prizes to support their educational pursuits.
In 2021, Stepping Stone Secondary School, Ilorin, emerged as the overall winner. Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Ilorin, was the first runner-up, and Government Secondary School, Ilesha Baruba, took the third prize. In 2022, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Ilorin, won the top prize, followed by Mustapha Standard College, Offa, and Kwara State College of Education Model College, Oro. Last year, Stepping Stone College, Agbabiaka, Ilorin, took the top spot, with Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Ilorin, and Government Secondary School, Lafiagi, following closely.
